Quick Start

To be able to sign in to the Developer Portal, you should have a Smart Trading account.

To start using the App Developer Portal for FHIR:

  1. Go to https://fdp.uat.edifecsfedcloud.com and click Sign Up to create a Smart Trading account or sign in using your credentials if you already have one.
  2. Contact your account administrator to enable the App Developer Portal for FHIR subscription. If you are an administrator, go to https://auth.uat.edifecsfedcloud.com and enable the Developer Portal for your organization's account.

To use the Developer Portal, consider the following steps:

  1. Get familiar with the Developer Portal.
  2. Configure the whole look and style of the portal using the pane Portal Configuration.
  3. Enter organization details in the section Home.
  4. Fetch published endpoints from the Endpoint Directory or the FHIR server in the section FHIR APIs.
  5. Register and add your applications if you are a developer in the section Applications.
  6. Publish your website to make it publicly available after you provide all the required details.

Once you make your portal publicly available, you can publish the link to the Developer Portal (for example, https://fdp.uat.edifecsfedcloud.com/#/portal/YourCompanyName) on your company's website and share the link with your customers, developer communities, and so on. To get the link, at the top right of the Developer Portal, next to Publish, click (Get a link to the portal), and then in the dialog, click Copy to copy the link to the clipboard.

To register as an individual developer on the App Developer Portal for FHIR:

  1. Use the payer's public page URL for the Developer Portal on their organization's website and click Sign up.
  2. From the drop-down list, select As Individual Developer to create a Smart Trading account for developers.
  3. In the Create Account dialog, in Email Address, enter your email address that will be used to activate your developer account and to receive email notifications.
  4. In User Account Information, enter your name and password that you want to use to sign in as an individual developer to the Smart Trading Cloud services.

After you complete the form, you will receive an email notification. Follow the instructions in the message to activate your developer account and to sign in as the developer to the Developer Portal.

Note As a developer, you can create separate logins for individual payer's instances. You can use the same email ID, password, and the details to create separate accounts for different payors.

After you activate your developer account and sign in, the tab Applications appears to which you have access in the Developer Portal.

To register as an organization on the App Developer Portal for FHIR:

  1. Use the payer's public page URL for the Developer Portal on their organization's website and click Sign Up.
  2. From the drop-down list, select As Organization to create a Smart Trading account for your organization.
  3. In the Create Account dialog, in Email Address, enter your corporate email address that will be used to activate your organization account and to receive email notifications.
  4. In User Account Information, enter your name and password that you want to use to sign in as an organization to the Smart Trading Cloud services.

After you complete the form, you will receive an email notification. Follow the instructions in the message to activate your organization account and to sign in on behalf of your organization to the Developer Portal.

To configure the look and style for the portal, on the top of the Developer Portal page, click Portal Configuration. In the displayed pane, as an administrator, you can do the following customization:

  • Add an organization logo.
  • Edit the visual style of the portal by selecting a color theme.
  • Add the links: Copyright, Privacy Policy Link, Terms of Use Link, and Company Website Link to the page footer. The configured links will be displayed in the footer of the website.

At the top right of the Developer Portal, click Hi, <YourAdminName>, and then, in the drop-down menu, select My Profile.

In the My Profile pane, you can:

  • View and edit your first and last name.
  • View your email address.
  • Change your password.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication.
  • View the name and the account ID of your organization, its address and phone number.
  • View the information on administrators.

As a developer, you can:

  • View your first and last names, email address.
  • Change your password.

If you are an administrator, you can click Manage Organization Account (in the upper-right corner of the pane) to be redirected to the Smart Trading Cloud.

As a user of the Developer Portal, you can reset your password to create a new one.

To reset the password:

  1. Click the link Forgot password. After you click the link, you are redirected to the page Forgot Your Password.
  2. In Forgot Your Password, enter your email address to which a message to reset your password will be sent.
  3. In Username, enter your name as a user of the Developer Portal, and then click Reset my password. After you have clicked the button, an email message with a reset link is sent to you.
  4. Follow the reset link to set up a new password and login for the application.
  5. In New password, enter a new password, and then, in the field Enter New Password again, enter the password one more time to confirm your choice.
  6. Click Change Password to update your password.
